Key terms and concepts used in ASG Agent Cloud.
Agent
An autonomous AI system that can call tools, make decisions, and execute tasks without continuous human intervention.
Budget
Maximum spend limit for a Run or Step. Prevents runaway costs.
Gasless
Payment model where ASG covers Solana transaction fees. Users only need USDC.
Idempotency Key
Unique identifier ensuring a request is processed only once, even if retried.
Lease
A timed allocation of GPU resources. Requires heartbeat to maintain.
MCP (Model Context Protocol)
Standard protocol for agent-to-service communication. Used by ASG for all tool interactions.
microusd
1/1,000,000 of a USD. ASG uses microusd for precise billing.

Quote
A price commitment for a specific request with an expiration time.
Receipt
Proof of completed work, including actual cost and refund (if any).
Run
Container for related work. Has a budget, TTL, and contains Steps.
Step
Single tool execution within a Run. Generates one Receipt.
TTL (Time-to-Live)
Expiration time for resources (quotes, leases, runs).
USDC
USD Coin — the stablecoin used for all ASG payments on Solana.
